Moro di Pava Chianti Riserva DOCG
Moro means dark and refers to the dark color of this pure Sangiovese that grows in the valley of Pava. We consider this wine Cerretello’s older brother, as they both source grapes from the oldest vineyards. Moro di Pava is made from the ripest and most concentrated grapes, hand-harvested and vinified using only indigenous yeasts, in small vats, with daily punchdowns. It is our most classic, Tuscan version of Sangiovese, in which the ‘rubestio’ (uniquely rustic and finicky) character of this grape and of the Tuscan people is fully expressed. Dark in color and taste, fruity and tannic, sapid and long with a typical blood orange note.
It matures in the cellar, in used barrels, for a period that varies according to the characteristics of the vintage.
